"This interdisciplinary and methodical study addresses one of the most challenging Qur’anic verses in the discourse on science and religion. By integrating historical linguistics and modern anatomy, the author demonstrates that the misinterpretation of the key terms sulb and tarā’ib has led to an apparent conflict with medical science. The findings not only resolve long-standing ambiguities but also provide a model for the precise interpretation of scientific verses in the Qur’an. This article is recommended for scholars of Qur’anic studies, medicine, and the history of science."

This study examines researchers' investigations into the effects of fasting on cancer prevention and treatment, synthesizing existing research to provide a comprehensive overview. Findings suggest that intermittent fasting may inhibit tumor growth by altering cellular metabolism, enhancing immune response, and reducing side effects of conventional treatments like chemotherapy. While preliminary evidence—particularly when combined with systemic therapies—is promising, metabolic variability among tumors and the need for broader clinical trials necessitate caution in generalizing results. The study also highlights the importance of controlled trials to evaluate Islamic fasting as an adjunctive intervention in cancer. Integrating modern medical treatments with fasting regimens may open new horizons in cancer management, provided future research advances in establishing safe protocols.
In an era where global standards are predominantly based on secular and material foundations, the Tayyib Accreditation Model offers a novel approach to quality of life by building upon the Quranic concept of 'Tayyibah Life.' This system, grounded in five core principles (halal, health, authenticity, blessing, and attractiveness), goes beyond product standardization to pursue the realization of a monotheistic lifestyle at a civilizational scale. The successful examples of the Halal certification in Malaysia and Kosher certification in the West demonstrate that religious standards can evolve into global brands. The current challenge lies in transforming this model into a comprehensive discourse across the Islamic world and beyond, redefining quality of life based on divine values.
